I am an older mom, ( daughter out of the house) but use Clorox Clean Up ALL THE TIME. Great way to clean kitchen counters, bathrooms, as well as sanitize them Also, doesnt take a lot of time or elbow grease. We also have the Clorox wipes, but dont use them as much. ( Great for traveling) If I still had little ones around I would definetly use it in the nursery.Keep writing and will keep reading. My mom would strip down in front of the sink, wash her underarms and other important places, splash some water on her face and then call herself clean. Baby powder delicately applied to her unwashed scalp would be the finishing touch. You know what? No one ever knew the difference because she carried herself with style and confidence, regardless of her last bath. :) Wed, 03 Nov 2010 22:01:42 -0700 Sara Perelli-Minetti http://www.europeanopticalsociety.org/laugh/mom-moments/hygiene-confessions-of-a-frazzled-mom/#comment-13 Comment by 'Tiffany' on Hygiene Confessions of A Frazzled Mom http://www.europeanopticalsociety.org/laugh/mom-moments/hygiene-confessions-of-a-frazzled-mom/#comment-12 Thanks for sharing these great ideas! I used to get to my keyboard by 4 am, work a few hours, then get our daughter breakfasted, dressed and off to school. Then a few more hours back in the home office before getting things squared away before popping out to get Kate and start dinner before Lauren got home. I guess there are more Mommy-Dads now than when I did it -- I was the only guy picking up and dropping his daughter off from school. I understand FInland now requires that parents (both Moms and Dads) spend 6 mos. or more at home with their new born, sounds like a great idea to me and likely well worth the expense in terms of producing well-adjusted adults! While I'm not a mom, I'm a busy 30-something with an hour commute to work, so any time-saving tricks are always a help. I always pre-pack lunch the night before, and leave everything I need to bring to work by the door. This way I don't have to worry about forgetting something, and can just grab it on the way out. Here are my confessions... 1) I put my makeup on in the car while my husband drives. The worst part is that it's dark when we leave so I have only the little mirror light to guide me! 2) I only wash my hair every other day. It's really better for my hair so it doesn't dry out and it saves a ton of time. I just clip it up on top of my head and on those days my showers are about 3 minutes long instead of 10. 3) I am a major cheater... I have been known to only paint the two toenails that can be seen with my peep-toe pumps and only shave up to my knees when I'm wearing a knee-length skirt. At least it LOOKS like I'm pulled together! Such is life when you've got a toddler, a full time job and a million other commitments. Sleep is too precious a commodity to sacrifice it for perfect hairdoos! Thanks for the great post; keep 'em coming!
