Ooey Gooey Critters

Prep time: 7 minutes

Let's make sure parents supervise all cooking and craft creative.

What you'll need to get started:

3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup butterscotch chips

3/4 cup pretzel sticks

1/2 cup salted peanuts

1 bag of mini marshmallows

1 box of toothpicks

Heavy saucepan  

Wax paper

Here's the lowdown

  1. Melt the chocolate and butterscotch chips in a microwave or heavy saucepan.
  2. Stir until mixture has a smooth consistency.
  3. Measure out ½ cup of pretzel sticks and break them into smaller pieces.
  4. Fold in ½ cup of broken pretzels sticks, ½ cup of mini marshmallows, and peanuts into chocolate and butterscotch mixture until well coated.
  5. Drop rounded tablespoons of mixture onto a waxed paper-lined baking sheet.
  6. Before your critters cool too much, give them each two unbroken pretzel antennae and two marshmallow eyes.
  7. Refrigerate for 2 hours or until firm to the touch.

Let your critters melt in your mouth and wash them down with a glass of cold milk.
