Tiffany, Clorox

Hi! I'm Tiffany. When I'm not chasing my son around for diaper changes, convincing my daughter not to wear goggles to bed, or trying to get unidentified stains out of my kids' clothes, I work in the marketing department at Clorox.

Clorox Gets Ready for BlogHer 2012

It’s that time of year that brings a certain excitement to bloggers like me.  No, not the end-of-summer sales, but the annual BlogHer conference!  Started in 2005, BlogHer brings together bloggers from all over the world to discuss, inspire and connect with each other…and let’s face it, sharing a cocktail or two makes it fun too!

Last year, I had the pleasure of attending BlogHer in San Diego .  It was incredible to meet such a range of bloggers out there—from experts who wrote blogs to impart their knowledge, to those who wrote as a way to deal with personal illness to those who wrote simply to make others laugh.  Whatever our reason for blogging, it was inspiring to meet women who shared the same passion and enthusisam for their blogs.

This year, BlogHer is in New York City on August 3rd and 4th, and Clorox is very excited to be a sponsor! We have some fun things in store, so we hope you’ll stop by and see us. If you aren’t attending BlogHer, we’ll certainly miss you, but I hope you will check back here and on our Facebook page in August for photos and highlights from the event.

Here’s a sneak peek of some of our activities…

Our Power A Bright Future school grant program is back and bigger than ever for its fourth year, and we are bringing it to life at BlogHer!  As a Mom of a school-aged child, this program is especially meaningful. The Power A Bright Future school grant program gives schools K-12 the opportunity to win grants to help fund new or ongoing programs that provide students with the opportunity to learn and grow.  This year Clorox will award seven grants totaling $200,000!

We’ll also be sharing tips for helping keep your kids healthier at school through our Canisters for Classrooms program.  After all, our kids should share study tips and summer stories, not cold and flu germs, am I right?!   Clorox is helping teachers out when it comes to stocking up on disinfecting wipes for their classrooms, and check out how you can, too.

We’d love to meet you, so let us know if you’re coming to BlogHer, stop by and see us, and share if you’re as excited as we are that Power A Bright Future is coming back.  Don’t forget to log on to www.PowerABrightFuture.com starting August 15 to nominate your child’s school for a grant.  And don’t worry, we’ll remind you!
