Hi! I'm Tiffany. When I'm not chasing my son around for diaper changes, convincing my daughter not to wear goggles to bed, or trying to get unidentified stains out of my kids' clothes, I work in the marketing department at Clorox.

Tale of Two Mommies

On the surface it might seem that my colleague Amanda (aka Green Mommy of the Green Room blog) and I are very different. She writes about tips and tricks to living a greener, more natural life and I write a lot about disinfecting, tips for keeping your family healthy and reducing exposure from germs. But in fact, we're both working moms of young kids who are trying to do right by our families - all while not losing our sanity. Recently we had a little hallway conversation and I thought you may want to eavesdrop... enjoy!

Summer Vacations & 3 Standards of Clean

Our family recently took a trip to Southern California. And while it definitely wasn’t stress-free, I love how travel can teach us some little things about our family and ourselves. For example, I learned that travel really brings out my inner “clean-freak.” To stay sane, I’ve reconciled with the fact that when I travel, things around me will fall into 3 buckets of cleanliness: those things I can control, those I can mitigate and those I simply need to suck-up and deal with...

In Celebration of One Dad’s Quirks

As we wrapped up Father’s Day, I’ve been thinking about what makes my husband a great dad. There are some fundamental differences in approach between my husband and myself, but I’ve recognized that these quirks are ultimately what make my husband a wonderful father. Read more about our different approaches to playtime, bedtime and comfort zones. Also, were celebrating all dads: tell us something great about your partner and we will award one lucky random commenter with a mad men DVD box set.

The Power of ONE
Last year, I wrote about Clorox’s support of the Children’s Health Fund – an organization whose mission is providing health care to the nation’s most medically underserved children and their families. Clorox still supports CHF today, and our guest blogger, Dawn Jackson Blatner, a dietitian and USAToday.com, blogger tells you how the power of one simple healthy change in your life can make a difference not only for you, but also for kids in need.

Selling Toilet Cleaner: A Glamorous Life
Have you ever wondered what it’s like to market toilets? Working at Clorox, I have had the opportunity to work on a wide range of cleaning products including our line of Clorox ToiletBowl Cleaners. Yes, toilet cleaners. I’ve learned about how these cleaners are made, manufactured and I’ve probably heard more about toilets than I’ve ever wanted to know. Throughout these discussions, I’ve come across some pretty interesting toilet facts, including some statistics that surprised me that I wanted to share with you…

3 Reasons I Love Spring Cleaning
Spring cleaning can be as much fun as getting an annual physical exam. The scrubbing, the elbow grease and knowing that--with two young kids in the house-- all that “Clean” will be short-lived…well, it isn’t exactly “good times.” Spring Cleaning isn’t my favorite task, but like most things, there can usually be some parts to love...

A Kick in My Pants to Re-think Cleaning
We’ve all done it. An apple slice, baby bottle, or in my household, a whole chicken leg somehow finds itself on the floor under my dining table and what do I do? I pick it up, brush it off, maybe blow on it a couple times (what I’m blowing off, I am not exactly sure…) but I place it back on my kid’s plate, believing that all is well. After all, 5-second rule, right? Well, it turns out that the “go-to” 5-second rule (or any variation you may use in your household) may be as mythical as a child with clean hands. Find out what the experts have to say about the 5-second rule and see why I’m re-evaluating my cleaning practices.
