Tiffany, Clorox

Hi! I'm Tiffany. When I'm not chasing my son around for diaper changes, convincing my daughter not to wear goggles to bed, or trying to get unidentified stains out of my kids' clothes, I work in the marketing department at Clorox.

Day 2: Tackle The Nasty Dish Drying Tray

This nasty tray of funk is my kitchen dish rack. Yes, I am not too proud to show you this. After you’ve taken a few moments to lose respect for me, let me say that this is probably the moldiest spot in my whole house. (Err, OK, the moldiest spot in my kitchen ... err, ok in my whole sink area … )

To bust away this funk, I filled the sink with a gallon of water, added ¾ cup of Clorox® Regular Bleach and then let the dish rack tray sit there for about 5 minutes.  And voila!  The pink mold disappeared from the drying rack tray, and it was disinfected to boot!

Victory in 5 minutes?  I’m feeling pretty good.  Let’s see what Day #3 holds …

Don’t forget to leave a comment below during this week-long challenge.  One lucky commenter will be randomly selected to win a $100 Visa Gift card!  (Maybe you’ll see victory for 5 minutes of your time too!)

No Purchase Necessary. Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and DC who are at least 18 years of age at the time of entry. Void where prohibited. http://www.clorox.com/legal/promotions/ for full rules. Contest starts 10/20/11 & ends 11/2/11.

Great idea, thanks! My dish rack (especially the utensil holder) could use a little bleach bath tonight ;)

My drying rack sits directly in the sink, so every few days, I use Clorox Bleach to clean it and the sink.

This is a great tip! I feel like I always neglect cleaning my dish drying rack. I now know better and it sure is easier to use than always having to wipe the dishes with a dish towel. Thank you!

Hi Debbie, I know it seems weird. The last post for the challenge is going to be on 10.27.11, but we're letting people comment on the blog, for their chance to win, until 11.2.11. We'll notify the winner on 11.3.11. Thanks for asking!

Pretty neat Clorox tricks! The most amazing trick however is how a week-long challenge "starts 10/20/11 & ends 11/2/11." ;) Am I missing something?
