Hi! I'm Tiffany. When I'm not chasing my son around for diaper changes, convincing my daughter not to wear goggles to bed, or trying to get unidentified stains out of my kids' clothes, I work in the marketing department at Clorox.

Making the Best of School Year Sickness

This post is courtesy of guest bloggers and parents of 3 kids, Rob and Melinda Babiak of Look What Mom Found...and Dad Too.
School has been in session for almost two months, and 3 of our five-person family have already been home sick. And I’m sure this situation is playing out for tons of moms and dads across the country.
While I thought my kids would be the first to get sick, I was actually hit first. I instantly blamed the germs that they were bringing home. Germy hands, germy backpacks…and who knows what else! I started disinfecting everything they came in contact with. Doorknobs, railings, fridge doors and even the remote.
Like I said, I wasn’t the only one to get sick. My youngest was next in line. When my kids are sick, I encourage them to be couch potatoes for the day. We catch up on cartoons, watch movies, and I use it as an excuse to get to snuggle up with my kids. I don’t get to do that too much anymore! While I love spending quality time with my kids on a school-day afternoon, I never want them to get sick.
While it seems like germs may run rampant this time of year, there are a few things you can do to help keep your family and home healthier.
- Wash hands frequently! We always used the Twinkle Twinkle Little Star song to demonstrate how long it should take to thoroughly wash hands.
- Get a flu shot! Clorox has teamed up again this year with Families Fighting Flu and Visiting Nurse Associations of America to help bring Say “Boo!” to the Flu vaccination clinics to a town near you. Dress up in your costumes and bring the kids to this Halloween-themed event for flu shots and great tips on how to help keep your family healthier this season.
- Wipe down frequently touched surfaces with Clorox® Disinfecting Wipes. Don’t forget about light switches, sink faucets, door knobs and countertops.
Don’t forget to check out www.SayBoototheFlu.com for flu prevention tips and to find a vaccination event near you.
Use products as directed on hard nonporous surfaces.

Everytime my kids get sick, I'm just sure it's gonna get me too. So far, I've been fairly resilient, but I know my time's coming. I better get to disinfecting!

We've all been sick at least once since the school year started. First it started off with the stomach flu and now our youngest has a cold. Joy! We wash hands and clean counters and stuff frequently, but I don't get flu shots.
