Hi! I'm Tiffany. When I'm not chasing my son around for diaper changes, convincing my daughter not to wear goggles to bed, or trying to get unidentified stains out of my kids' clothes, I work in the marketing department at Clorox.

If Mom Had Three Minutes

Our guest blogger this month is Vera Sweeney, a mother, lifestyle and parenting pro. She is the CEO of I’m Not Obsessed Media and founder of LadyAndTheBlog.com.
I have many passions in life—blogging, networking with moms and playing tennis—but being a mom is hands down my most treasured passion of all. But we all know that being a mom brings a boat load of responsibility, juggling and multi-tasking. That’s why Clorox reached out to moms across the country to help compile the best multi-tasking tips in a special e-book called If Mom Had Three Minutes, giving moms like us more time to do what we love most, like reading with our kids or trying a new yoga class.
Below are my “Top 3 Time-Savers” that help me tackle my day-to-day tasks, giving me a little more time to spend time with my two babies:
· Get the children involved: Sure! It's difficult in the beginning. The children take more time than you would to accomplish simple tasks. But your children will learn responsibility and you will have an easier day. My favorite tasks to hand off are sweeping the floor, putting away laundry and setting the table.
· Prep your food ahead of time: I usually do my large food shopping trips on Wednesdays. When I bring all of my goods home, I prep vegetables for the week. That hour you spend chopping and bagging will save an incredible amount of work over the next few days and minimizes the amount of dishes to clean each night.
· Clean as you go: This took me about 8 years to figure out. Sad but true! It's easier if you clean up as you are cooking rather than waiting until the end of the night to do one big push. Just use a disinfecting wipe on hard surfaces in your kitchen after each step – whether you are cutting vegetables, making tomato sauce or skewering chicken for kabobs. That just leaves the dishes for someone else!
You can check out some other multi-tasking tips by visiting the If Mom Had Three Minutes tab on the Clorox Facebook Page to read and download a free copy of If Mom Had Three Minutes. Share the e-book with friends and get a $1 off coupon* for Clorox® Disinfecting Wipes, making it easier than ever to help keep your home and family healthier. So help spread the time-saving love by reading it, tweeting it or emailing it to our fellow moms out there!
