CSEM Swiss Center for Electronics and Microtechnology, Inc. - your partner for innovative solutions applied to industrial products - is a privately held company carrying out:

CSEM is mainly active in the areas of microtechnology, microelectronics and information systems. CSEM develops and exploits key technologies established with the help of the Swiss Confederation, universities and industrial partners.
By offering its high-tech know-how, competencies and expertise, CSEM fulfills the needs of industrial partners. It also develops its own commercial activities, either with existing companies or by the creation of spin-off and start-up companies.

In particular, CSEM supplies customized microsystems, microelectronic designs and system solutions, as well as specialized coatings and materials.

CSEM operates from its headquarters in Neuchâtel and also runs a micro-optics research facility in Zurich. Presently, the company has a staff of 355 employees, over half of whom hold an academic degree. In 1999, CSEM realized a total income of 65 mio. CHF.

Beside Switzerland, CSEM is internationally active in many European countries as well as overseas, especially in the US and Japan.
