Jobin Yvon Group (JY Group) was formerly known as Instruments SA (ISA) and is the world's largest manufacturer of classical spectroscopic systems and components and we are committed to serving our customers with superior products and technical support for optical and emission spectroscopy. The group has four major manufacturing sites, three in France and one in the United States producing equipment with brand names Jobin Yvon, Sofie, Dilor and Spex. We have a number of Subsidiaries and Offices world-wide including Jobin Yvon Ltd in the UK.

In 1997, JY became part of the Horiba group. Since its establishment in 1953, Horiba has secured its position as a key manufacturer of measuring and analytical devices and markets a vast array of sophisticated products to countries around the world. Horiba products are used in the R&D and quality control stages by companies in nearly every industry, including the automotive and semiconductor industries, as well as those in new materials, energy, steel, food processing, and scientific fields. In particular, Horiba's engine emissions analysers are contributing greatly to the development of low-emission, fuel-efficient engines being carried out by auto-makers worldwide. Moreover, the Company's air pollution monitors and equipment for measuring acid rain are playing increasingly important roles in finding solutions to pressing environmental problems that have captured worldwide attention.
