To Remove Stains and Clean: Sort laundry by color. Fill the chlorine bleach machine dispenser to the maximum level and add the laundry. If you don't have a dispenser, for best results add 1/2 cup Clorox® High Efficiency Bleach, concentrated 5 minutes after the wash cycle has begun. To pre-treat: Rinse or remove loose soil. Then fully soak the piece of laundry for 5 minutes in a solution of 3 tablespoons of Clorox® High Efficiency Bleach, concentrated to 1 gallon of cool water. Most white fabrics and some colored fabrics can be safely washed with this product. If you are uncertain, test by applying one drop of a solution made of 2 teaspoons Clorox® High Efficiency Bleach, concentrated plus ¼ cup water to a hidden part of the fabric. After one minute, blot dry. If there is no color change then the article can be safely bleached.
*Avoid bleaching wool, silk, mohair, leather, spandex and non-fast colors. Always read and follow precautions and usage directions before using cleaning products. Store out of reach of children.

Why do I need Clorox® High Efficiency Bleach, concentrated?
Clorox's answer:
HE stands for "high efficiency", the next generation of washers that save water and energy. Since HE washers work differently, it is optimal to use a specially formulated bleach like Clorox® High Efficiency Bleach, concentrated. Clorox® High Efficiency Bleach, concentrated safely eliminates odor-causing residue build-up in HE Machines. The thicker formula also offers better control in HE dispensers.
There will be the same number of uses per bottle in the concentrated bleach as there was before so the cost per use will be the same as our previous bleach products.
How is Clorox letting people know about the new Concentrated formulation?
Clorox's answer:
Clorox will be letting consumers know about the change in a variety of ways. On the bleach bottle it will say "now concentrated". And in many stores there will be additional signage in the laundry aisle. In addition, we will be letting consumers know via our TV advertising, public relations materials, website and Facebook page.
We’ve done a great deal of research to ensure we are meeting consumer’s needs. Because the product will be concentrated, the new Clorox® Bleach bottle will be easier to handle and easier to use in high-efficiency washing machines, which have built-in bleach dispensers. In addition, the concentrated formula will provide improved whitening on clothes. And because the size of the bottle will be smaller, we can significantly reduce the amount of water used in bleach and the amount of packaging used, which is better for the environment.
